Wheely pleased!

For most of this year I've been wondering what to do with my wheels which were looking a bit tatty....
1. Get them polished and lacquered, but I've heard horror stories about how quickly the lacquer can go and they end up need doing again.
2. Get them polished but not lacquered. Saw some nice looking ones at S Club this year but they need effort keeping them that way. I don't get much time to drive the car as it is without spending valuable time in keeping the wheels sparkling!
3. Buy some others, but I like the 8 spokes.
2. Get them painted. The originals have black paint on the side edge of each spoke and most of the ones I've seen refurbed and painted have been completely silver which has made the spokes look "fatter" and too obtrusive to me (hope that makes sense). However I have also seen a couple in other finishes so a couple of weeks ago decided to get mine done in black chrome and I'm chuffed to bits with them!! The effect of the paint means the sides of the spokes disappear in the shadow of the wheels and they will be very easy to look after. The pic doesn't do them full justice but hopefully you'll get the idea.........

For anyone interested I got them done here as recommended by Mycroft....

Decided to finish them off with some nice new wheel centres. I started off trying TVR Car Parts but they only had one at £7.50. Then called Douglas Valley who wanted an incredible £25 each PLUS delivery & VAT!! Ended up doing a search here and got them for £4.25 each from TVR Power.
Hope someone else finds the info useful

Dropped the car off on Monday, collected it Thursday.
They were not the cheapest option..... plain silver would have been cheaper at £60 each, but the special paint and the multiple layers needed for the black chrome meant there were £85 each. Might sound a lot but given the options I mentioned above I was happy to pay it. Very pleased with the quality of the work / service etc and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Hi
they do look nice, I noticed your tyres are not the standard size ie 205x60x15, just wondering how a 55 profile effects the car pros-cons ?
Appearance wise I'm not so keen as I am on the 60's - the wheel arches do look a bit empty but this is only really noticeable when I park next to an S with the 60's on......which isn't very often!! they do look nice, I noticed your tyres are not the standard size ie 205x60x15, just wondering how a 55 profile effects the car pros-cons ?
The tyres are excellent and very grippy, plus have LOADS of tread on them so I'll not be changing them for a while! This is the best handling S I've ever driven and I'm sure the tyres help with that, although the suspension set up and stiffness from the roll bar certainly help aswell
