thought I would put some pix of our new project

Many of you have seen the Carbon '72 Mini that a few of us put together a couple of years ago
http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a...

then last year I purchased a 356 Speedster which is just awesome and completed a Round Europe road trip in it
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0...

but when this new project came up it was just too good to be true
Think of a mixture of my 2 current cars

Yes its a Mini Speedster
it was used as a Millionaires Kids toy  so its got a few bumps and bruises, and wasnt running after the kid decided he wanted to be an auto electrician in future life

anyway the plan is ( with a help from a few mates as usual ) to get it running and make the outside and inside a 100% replica of the other Speedster
the car is handbuilt under license for Porsche in Germany and is chassis number 14.
http://pennewitz-design.de/356.html
When it appeared on ebay as a kids toy it was too good to miss then I discovered exactly what it was and how much it was worth.
so will post up some pix as the build goes on, for now its not running and has a few scrapes and bits needing modded to make more like the other car
but the aim of the project is for me to drive it ( yes I can fit in it ) and will attend some of the meets in it aswell

enjoy

I think you're a little bit bonkers, but in the best way possible.

Good luck with the build!

You definintely need to tow that to meets behind the other full size one!

Although I don't think putting a tow hook on the Speedster is a great idea...
