Well, the first job will be to change the clutch slave as currently you have to double press the clutch to build enough pressure to change gear.

Had a look at Rimmers and theres a fair few on there, so are there likely to be different ones for the 350i or is there a definate one thatll fit em all?

Stu

Oh, and the second job will be replacing the non existence tie bar bushes to stop the front wheels flapping around.

Hi Stu

I just had this problem with the SEAC, there's loads to choose from. The SEAC one is 1" bore, Rimmers list this for the Defender 90/110 so I got one of those; the thread was wrong so I went to my local branch of PIRTEK and got an adaptor to suit for a couple of quid (but then the SEAC has a braided hose so is probably not standard anyway).

I suspect the standard 350i uses the standard bore size (not sure what that is but it's less than 1") so a normal 90/110 cyl would fit. At least they're very cheap so you can afford to faff around with the options!

Poly bushes for the tie bars are good too, I don't think you can get OE Ford ones any more.

Thanks Martin, Ill have a look at the 90/110 and see if its the same or there abouts.

Im going to go with the standard tie bushes and there are some on ebay at the moment, or perhaps south wales props will do them.

Ian, by the ammount of fluid its dropping on the floor, and having to fill it every week I think probaly indicates that its bleeding itself at the moment!!! smile

And Im well excited, Im getting it today!!!

Hi Stu
You must have it now, got some pic's. Took a clutch master from the 280i, if any use email the one finger bandit.
Where did you find this one you lucky sod (is it another HATTER story, found in a field) or is it the black one from classifieds.
Currently there is a shell only from a 350FH on ebay.

Hi Stephen, thanks for the offer mate.

Ive found some on rimmers, and for about £8.50 I might be as well to get a new one!

P.S, any luck with the paperwork for the 280 engine?
