I’ve been told that if you remove the oval shaped plate on the rack you can add or remove shims. If you take one out it apparently takes any slack out of the system. Is there any truth in this?
Yep the shims alter the location of the pinion into the rack best to ask about what amount of slack is correct as too tight is as bad as too much slack
