Looks like the same stuff as the front of my outriggers, so obviously still structurally adequate...

The left one is held on by a nice shiny red piece of steel with some nuts welded to it. the right one I haven't had off so is probably held on by a mixture of wishful thinking and reluctance to fall off

I replaced the rusty steel internal strip with a nice piece of ally, job done
