Recommended areas of London for drinks?

Hello,
I've lived in Islington now for about 2.5months, and I'm looking for suggested areas to go out for drinks and things... Islington is pretty cool, not so much Upper Street but Essex Road, and the Old Street area is OK but I always seem to end up in Aquarium at the end of an evening, which is getting a bit boring...
Was thinking of giving Farringdon/Camden a try this weekend, but am looking for other suggestions!
I like pubs not wine bars! Also recommendations of clubs/pub clubs would be handy!

Get the hell out of Acquarium.
Pop down the road to Medicine bar, Cantaloupe, Tabernacle and the Light Bar.
Head over to Farringdon for Smiths, Cicada, Match and various other pubs.
Don't know Camden but looks cool. Plenty of bars and clubs around the city too.

bedouin bar in farringdon is worth a beer, the living room isn't
alas turnmills is now gone but fabric is ok-ish but usually full of moody dealers and tourists
there's a few places in kings cross (like the big chill house) which means you've got the egg for afters (stay well clear of scala - it's a dive)
the legion in old street along with cargo the bedroom bar, secret venue and the bricklayers arms

Fabric was awesome the other week, but it depends on the lineup totally IMO... Was full of dealers though!
Not particularly assed for nightclubs with "big DJ's" more places that you can go bust some shapes and have a good crack... Mother or 333 or something upstairs, although nothing special was quite fun when I went a few weeks back, and not too pricey!

Quite like drinking down Marylebone High Street with it's good selection of boozers - also Shepherd's Market north of Piccadilly near Park Lane and then Shad Thames the other side of Tower Bridge for some good restaurants with a view. Also quite like the area by my office around Southwark tube - got the Cut and some new bars which seem quite good.
Sorry I can't give specific names but can usually find places in all those areas that suit the different tastes......
