I've been trying to join the above on and off for at least 12 months, without success. The problem is that I register, it says a confirmation email has been sent but it never arrives so I am unable to complete registration.

I have been in touch with the site owner who says that the emails have definitely been sent and that he is unable to validate registrations manually. So unless I can find a way of actually receiving these mails I cannot join.

I believe yeti had similar issues, but has anyone else experienced this?

Junk/spam filtering, probably. Try sending an email to the 'from' address before you register/reactivate. This will likely whitelist it automatically.
Our web host says they aren't filtering, there's nothing in my spam folder so I am not sure who'd be taking them out.

One of them appears to being giving you inaccurate information smile You could ask TZ owner how he knows it has 'definitely been sent'. I suspect, they have a log in the forum software that says an email was generated, but that's not the same as a receipt of transmission from whatever server/relay it was passed to.
He mentioned that he has 20 new members a day, none of whom has a problem.

Set up a new email with someone else: outlook, yahoo, whatever. 12 months is a frustratingly long time! But if you have spare money and like watches, it's a great forum to avoid. nuts

I also had the same problem for a number of months. In the end I used an alternate email address and the message finally arrived

My issues were different; I couldn't even rgister, for around a year it just said 'registrations no longer being accpeted'.

Then one day it all worked.

Can you use a work email instead?

Yeti, I think that's because he was getting a lot of spam accounts at the time and didn't know how to address the issue. I suspect there's probably a "human check" question in the registration now.

Good to see he still values new members.

Better that he values and tries to protect the members that he has, I think.

An old Google email address seems to have worked. Now I await validation by an administrator...

Some nice fishing rods in the TZ-UK Sales corner last week.

Just sayin.
Ha ha, took me a few minutes of head scratching before I got that. I was merely referring to the fact that I thought receiving and clicking the prized email link was all that was required. I didn't realise there was another gatekeeper to overcome.

I have pretty well given up on TZ-Uk, can't remember the last time I logged on there. However, I'm not really buying or selling at the moment.

Heuer-gate was quite amusing.

O/T - Tertius, I know I need to find a date in the diary to catch up.

I was surprised by that, despite having seen his ridiculous behaviour first hand (banned me when he spazzed out, had someone join here to call me a liar, I posted his messages showing that I had been completely honest and his representitive deleted their reply which contained his lies - amusingly this chap has since been banned and now hates him too).

'You say it best when you say nothing at all' or 'if you can't say anything good, don't say anything' I assume.
