Anyone Taken the Time to Look at this?

Has anyone taken the time to look at this: -

a 996 RS, low miles, for £49,995
If I recall correctly, white was offered as a 'special' option for the later RSs?

er all RS are white lol![banghead](/inc/images/banghead.gif)
I meant I thought black decals were an option, alongside the wheels, late in the series. Or, am I incorrect, and this is simply a modification that someone has done.

Cat D car. It was on Pistonheads a few weeks ago at £53,735. Advert mentioned that an Autoalign certificate was available and "body repairs by Ninemeister." A week or so later the advert was changed to remove any reference to its dubious provenance. Then the advert was removed.
Could be a good car but bear in mind that "Cat D" is more than simply an insurance claim - you'll often see ridiculous adverts that refer to "bumper damage only" - but please note that all Cat D cars have been written off by the insurer. It's been in a big accident.
As mentioned above, all of these cars are carrara* white from the factory. This car was originally white and red - it's obvious from the photos if you know what to look for.![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)

Some cat D cars where written off as a result of a total loss due to theft. The Autoalign certificate and the reference to body repairs certainly nod towards a big shunt.
Wouldn't Ninemeister be able to shed some light on its past??

A most apt choice of phrase perhaps.
Subject to a JZM type inspection thou it cud well be a good car. If your intended use is not to pamper it then it may well be a good buy but why not be upfront in the advert and say that it's been crashed when the previous advert had mentioned it. Then again there is a very well know 964 RS been for sale at a specialist for 2yrs and there is no mention of that cars history despite it being all over another forum.
Due diligence is always required me thinks
