I was just doing some pre-winter maintenance on the Sag today and got around to changing the moisture absorption packs for the next three months and gods... the unit has absorbed what must have been 1-2 cups of water since I last changed it

Surprising how much moisture you can get in the ambience air temperature! And that's before winter really kicks in...

Definitely a piece of kit to keep using....

You keep nappies in the car???

Actually I might consider something like these as I've taken the car off the road over the winter. Where about did you source them from?

I keep a pair of "moisture mates" in the car which you can source from halfords.. I had one overflow once which left a slimy residue behind!

Well recommended to keep the mildew and fungi out.

I had that happen in my Tuscan once. Went away for winter and grew things on the roof leather!

Aldi! I always get mine from there. They have them in about 3 times a year and had them last week. About £8 for 2 containers and 3 'refills' or £6 for 4 refills. Get em while you can and stock up.

I use the in 3 TVr's and they are great. It always amazes me how much moisture they take out.

Oh and be careful emptying them as its potent stuff. It's the best weedkiller I have ever known.

That is useful to know, since sodium chlorate is almost impossible to find now it seems

I assume you keep the car outside?

I put one in mine last winter (it lives in the garage) and it had absorbed nothing after several weeks so didn't bother anymore.

Mines the same, tucked up in the garage under cover and never seems to be affected.

I've always kept a small fan heater in the car during the winter.
Windows open 1/2 inch or less, thermostat down quite low of course.

Seems to keep it dry and much nicer than having a cold bum first thing
