How do you know that youre a good driver?

I know because people flash their lights and beep their horns to show their admiration for my skills and often raise a single digit, indicating that I am number one!

Doesn`t happen much so I mostly use an iron off the tee. Or sometimes a putter or a wedge and occasionally I pick it up and throw it. If I`m wearing steel toe capped boots I can also kick it a fair distance.

But a driver? nope I`m a crap driver.

Since the age of about 4 when I was in my gokart I've known I was something really very special in the driving stakes.

I go into a sort of trance, which is always bordering on transcendental and frequently going over; I genuinely think I'm channeling the collective spirits of Fangio, Clark and Senna. It's just astounding.

The looks on peoples faces when I pull up in the car park at Sainsburys indicates they know they're in the presence of something ethereal.

But yeah, a flickering traction control light is probably similar.

In some cars i drive the engine light on the dash lights up in bright yellow or red, to show me I'm pushing the car to its upper limits

I love driving.
I believe I read the road well, I'm courteous and fair. I hate bad drivers and poor manors.

As for being a good driver, faster than anyone else? I am only as good as the car I'm driving. I'm no driving god.

The traction control light on the TVR has never lit up. I'm a pretty bad driver then.
