Your Top 5 From 2012
Discussion
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 3rd annual 'Your Top 5 from...' thread
It's nice to see a summary of the great body of work seen in this forum every year. Certainly some wonderful shots have been posted in the past 12 months
It's not a competition, just a celebration of the photos PHers have posted
(previous threads: 2010, 2011)
So, to kick the thread off....

It's tough to decide on just 5! Looking forward to seeing what is posted

As varied a selection as possible from me.
Edit - Mark, that lighting shot is ridiculous.

This is really difficult! The standard of photography on this forum is unbelievable, its a real privilege to view/share photographs on here.
Hope 2013 is even better!

There are some really stunning shots on this thread, as usual. This is the most consistently good photo website that I've found (odd on a car forum, but there you go).
These are the five of mine that I like best today at this moment. I'll post them now before I change my mind again.

In a photography slump now, so it's good to look back and see that 2012 was actually OK.

I know a lot of you are saying you're struggling to choose your top 5 shots. But I'm struggling to find 5 decent shots. Was pretty much my first year with an dslr so hopefully I'll improve in the new year.

Rethought mine a bit. Top 5 isn't enough!
Maybe it should be 12, going along with this Ansel Adams quote "Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop."
Anyway it's been a good year for me switched from a limping D200 to a 5D Mk2 and had a pretty significant shift in my style of photography. More or less a realisation that to me landscape photography is a lot more than just chasing the colours of a sunrise/sunset and started concentrating more on the details that make this country beautiful rain or shine.

Don't be depressed, be inspired!I won't be posting.

This is probably the friendliest place to ask how things are done and to find ideas you can try yourself. It's how I'm learning.
(but yeah, I know where you're coming from!)
