Readin' a book about the 'Hemi' at the moment; has an article been written 'bout that peachy motor yet? The sound of those babies "moves me"!

I love my car. I love driving it. I love the fact that it has TVR's own engine in it smile

Would I buy/read a book/magazine (considering my knowledge of engineering) just about the engine?

I'd rather buy Reader's Wives: Over 50s Edition paperbag

By whats been said on the Daimler V8 it sounds like a classic case of the british motor industry shooting itself in the foot and it was a Hemi of sorts, have a look on www.russcarpenterracing.co.uk he managed to get almost 1400 bhp out of the 2.5litre engine. What fascinates me isnt the technical side of things as such (dim) but rather what might have been , this little lightweight engine 190KG . could well have spawned all manor of powerful light Hemi style engines if politics and intermarque rivalries had not got in the way.

The AJP moved me, although not for a long period.

With the quality of parts now supplied and the stories you hear from specialists that a rebuilded block can do 50.000miles I decided to do something else.

The idea was a nice one from Al Melling. Do not know where it went wrong. A 50.000 mileage is not something to be proud of I think. For an engine (4.2) that is not producing 100hp per litre.

It is dawn light, revs like hell and baffles in the exhaust like nothing else. If it only did it with 150.000 miles reliability and ease of service.
