£1.5m turnover from a fish and chip shop
Discussion
I was chatting to my friends who sells catering equipment and he told me that a local fish and chip shop that doesnt even seem that busy turnsovers £1.5m a year. Thats opening about lunchtime till about 9:00 at night.
Thats works out at about £4800's a day average turnover which seems incredible for such a simple business.
Guess I did the wrong thing spending 4 years at uni to earn £22k before tax
How much profit do you think they will be generating off a business like that???

If you say the average spend per customer is £3 then that chippy is serving 1600 portions per day. Something's wrong there isn't it!Thats works out at about £4800's a day average turnover which seems incredible for such a simple business.

I do not eat Fish & Chips on a regular basis but that is brilliant. I believe I paid in the region of £5-6 last time visited a chippy.

I think that is known as Laundering money.
EFA
Is there a difference?
And Money laundering is when you say you sold 100 F&C a day and pay tax on that but really only sell 50.
Sorry for going O/T.
P.s wasn't meant maliciously.
