Thanks chaps.

As I understand, it still needs the instruments connecting - mostly mechanical, a loom, some lights, the fuel system plumbed in and the bulkhead re-instated. Rear screen-in, door cards and doors re-fitted, dyno sesssion, alignment set up, then some track miles to shake it down. A little less than three weeks to go so it should be possible. smile

Thats my thoughts too Joolz. I'll be bitterly dissapointed if I'm not on the grid. I've managed to dismiss the previous races as not being possible, don't think I'll stomach this one bneing missed.

MrsS has even bought a tent for the event!!

Me and Cliff managed to pack a LOT of work into the old tasmin when the need arose .. but of course it depends what standard you want it doing to, and if you're paying someone to do it and it's potentially an advert for their craftsmanship expect it to take a bit longer .. however 3 weeks is an age in racing terms so hopefully you'll be sorted thumbup

Been up to HHC today for a fitting and general look see. I was joined by Heighswitch, and I think the car got the seal of approval (despite missing 2 quite relevant parts - no 7 and 8 cylinderswink).

Anglesey still looks possible and the car looks like its going to be fun. So fingers crossed for the next 7 days or so...pie eating is now strictly taboo as the seat was a tight fit (almost no need for a harness). NTEL, I have a supply going cheap if you're interested hehe.

Counting the days. smile

Looking Excellent , Ian Is burning the midnight oil me thinks.

Has given me a bit of drive to get back out in the garage to do some more on mine.

Making templates for the alloy stiffeners / re-inforcement panels etc which are needed to stop the fibreglass floorpan collapsing under my considerable girth.

Sorry I missed you when you disapeared of for a bacon sandwich john, SWMBO turned up and promptly extraced me from the garage.

See you in a fortnight

Hi Dave,
Daft Dog's eaten the pies...party

The tube is for the dipstick (I assume).

See you in less than two weeks.

Linda and I hope to get there Thursday night and do some minor jobs on Friday before testing (Sticker the car up and give it a clean!). We'll be camping, something she's really looking forward too laugh

Major step forward today. Car is running and sounds fit (down the telephone at least). biggrin

Major step backwards - I feel like a heel after Tony at HHC pulled out (I've been hogging his best technician to do my car and his car is not finished - possibly as a result?)frown

Well, we got there and the car was excellent for something straight out of the box wth only best guess settings. I'm chuffed to bits with the car, and everyone made the weekend so enjoyable. Core plug let us down for the first race, but did not spoil the fun too much.

Nice to meet you all and hope to see you at Silverstone.

Ps, Hope I didn't get in the way of the rapidly progressing Class A and B cars mid race..smile

I noticed that yikes I came round Church on full chat just after it had happened... I hit the coolant across the track , and it was like hitting ice... Nice line by the way hehe

John,
it worth all the welding, grinding, polishing and fabricating of the core plug on Saturday night.
What really made it worth all the effort was the great drive you put in on Sunday.
Maybe Uncle Geoff will get his M out now.
See you at Silverstone
