The rebuild continues. Here are a few more pics...

Loading up the gearbox parts for a phase 1 rumble..

After Phase 1 rumble

Phase 2 polish...

RESULTS! bounce

New rocker arms as the previous ones were slightly worn -

Variety of new parts to replace old... and new main bearings in that wrap!

Some lovely new pistons smile

New selector fork and shells

Balanced crank!

New main bearings going in

And the crank

Getting it set just so...

Looking forward to what will be, effectively, a better than new engine bounce

As Mastodon2 has shown us his new GSXR 600, I thought I would show you mine.

Sorting out the insurance as we speak and taxing it on Monday, can't wait to get out on it.

Very tidy, must sound quite naughty with that can on. Have fun with it, I know I'll be enjoying mine.

Thanks for the all the compliments guys, I'll make a thread shortly with a few more pics and my thoughts from my first ride.

Rear brake linkage cleaned and refitted, front suspension stripped out and new bearings/bushes/seals ordered. ..

The entire front end service kit with new everything was a tenner.

Picking this up tomorrow.
That is a fking cracking first bike, and a great colour scheme. Quite rarely seen too, most of the GSXR's are to be seen in the (also fetching) 'Regal Kingsize' blue and white!

Thanks, its slowly getting there! Waiting on the tank and got some freshly painted wheels to fit which should finish it off nicely.

Exhaust is a TRC in Carbon Fibre.

It doesn't sound to bad. I'll have to see what the neighbours say when I start it up at silly o'clock to ride it in to work.

A mate went through 2 full engine rebuilds and a complete new engine in about 2 years and when finally convinced himself he'd got it sorted out some ahole stole it.

The RGV he replaced it with seized on the M1 at about 80mph. biggrin

Smelled fantastic though.
