I was out in my WRX last night, roads empty and had a play in the snow. This guy in his Renault was out this morning and I heard him way up the road (revs and road noise), then seeeeeeeeehhhhhhh Bang!
Hit the kerb and verge.

Poor sausage!

I was driving at circa 20/25 mph last night and the car felt good,(with 4x4), but on the Coast Road to Brighton an Astra went to overtake me though, another accident waiting to happen...

The amount of idiots out there today.

I've actually moved all our cars off the road due the fear that some plonker is going to hit one.

Hopefully a lot of people will learn a lesson today without damaging too many other peoples possessions.

Just done a round trip from Middlesbrough to Hebburn and back. 70 odd miles, took 2 and a half hours! I bloody love snow driving though, plus it's hilarious to watch other people fail spectacularly and have really inconsequential little crashes, usually in big 4x4's with sporty road tyres on.

Obviously if the crash is serious that's a completely different kettle of fish and I wouldn't take so much mirth

Seems to be plenty of young lads not at college out on there mopeds round here. From what I have seen, there'll be nursing cuts and bruises tomorrow...
Did look like fun though!

The 4x4's annoyed me today on the way to work.

As you say, all are on road tyres, but the X5's, Toerags and the like were hammering along, drivers thinking 'i'm alright as I have a 4x4' idiots....and I don't usually get wound up on the commute.

@van man 55 it does look like a fantastic corner to drift round though, at least he waited till it was quiet.

The thing they can't grasp is that, when it comes to accelerating they have the edge with the 4x4 and any TC systems etc.

However, once they're up to that speed, they're in exactly the same position (if not worse, with their wide tyres) when it comes to braking and turning as 2wd car owners.

My Mrs made me put the Subaru out of harms way last night and as the garage is at the rear I knew getting up my (quite) steep close would be 50/50. Anyway the car did me proud. None of the neighbours are going anywhere though...

I was tailgated twice on my way in this morning, both times by blokes who I'd assumed would have known better - proper 4x4s (a Shogun and Nissan Patrol).
I get it guys, you want to go faster than me because you've waited about ten years for this.

Went out in mine early this morning, still on snow low revs and good traction all was ok passed a guy in a focus trying to get up a hill with more and more revs, his third attempt he gave up I passed him and carried on nice and gently.

4x4? no, rwd lightweight with a turbo so hardly the best for snow driving just need to take it sensible. Only time I struggled is with people following too bloomin close and FWD people turning the slush to ice :@

Why does you neighbours house (left of the picture) have Knight Rider lights on the porch roof?

I had no problem getting to work today. Simply turn off the traction/stability control, give up 1st gear as a bad job, and think smooth smooth smooth.

I went up one hill very slowly indeed this morning. Maybe 1 or two metres per second.

But I went up it.

By me 2 cars have gone through the same fence how hard is it to relise that snow makes the road slippy why dont they think and the ones that drive around with a snow drift on the bonnet and roof and wonder why i get a little funny when it all comes off and goes straght on to my car windscreen ahhhhhh
