Yeah then add £10k for engine rebuild as it is probably falling apart due to TVR's rubbish engine build quality topped with cheap internals.

Could have already had a rebuild...unless its your car then thats not a very good way of selling it, is it now..?
Bye Bye...

17k for any TVR is bad, when will you people realise they are CRAP, drive a real car that doesnt fall apart all the time, or need a rebuild after 30k and you will see, stop being die hard TVRies and accept that the TVR you have has the build quality of cars made 50 years ago, it will break down on you if it hasnt already and it will depreciate faster than the $.
This forum is full of people with TVR Problems.....why is that ?

For the same reason that the Porsche and BMW forums are filled with people with problems, it's because they're asking for help and the majority of people on here have helpful and constructive things to say.X TVR Owner said:

By the very nature of a forum, you'll only hear the problematic stories, as people don't tend to log on to say "My car didn't break down today".17k for any TVR is bad, when will you people realise they are CRAP, drive a real car that doesnt fall apart all the time, or need a rebuild after 30k and you will see, stop being die hard TVRies and accept that the TVR you have has the build quality of cars made 50 years ago, it will break down on you if it hasnt already and it will depreciate faster than the $.

If I wanted build quality i'd have bought a Porsche/Mercedes (although my boss has spent many £000s on his SL500 in the last 3 years)
You don't buy a TVR for build quality, you buy one because you love the way it looks, the way it sounds, the attention it gets and the individuality.

Like what ? and the last time I looked TVR's were real cars - you know 4 wheels an engine etc. TVR's are like any other car, you need to do your homework before you buy and make sure you buy with your head and not with your heart and you won't go far wrong. Seems to me from your hot headed comment that you may have bought with your heart - oh dear !X TVR Owner said:

Is it just me or should we not even BOTHER replying to any of the trash that's spouting out of
"X TVR Owner's" orifice? He's just the latest in a long line of people who have too much time on their
hands and completely miss the point of TVR's.
If you want a "Normal" car I completely agree with every word he has said.. you really can't argue with him.
The build quality is not great, the reliability is questionable at best, and the residual isn't wonderful (to put it mildly!).
But if you want a "Normal" car (and I include "common-as-s**t-and-NOT-that-great-to-drive" Porsche in that)then
why would you buy a TVR in the first place. I'm on my third, all brand new, and from the first time I set foot in
a dealership I was made aware of every single flaw. I test drove every car under the sun and came back to the
most flawed of the lot!!...
... because it felt special... it felt like I was driving the car.. not the other way round!
If you want all of the things that TVR aren't... DON'T BUY ONE! Simple as that... and why you're at it
listen to "Westlife" or "Daniel O'Donnell" they're very nice and normal.. they won't offend you!

As a percentage of the purchase price, it's not bad at all really and in terms of ££ you've lost a lot less than someone who bought a £70K 911 at the same time...Depreciation on new cars is close to free-fall these days, especially on expensive ones. It's by no means a TVR trait. For starters, it seems Soovy still has a fight on his hands getting more than £8K for his 996 (book value sixteen-and-a-half)
