No i don't mean the nissian micra

A thread about cars which are undeniably crap under all forms of measurement but for some strange reason they loved by true petrolheads

For starters i give you the landrover defender.

Its slow, noisy, uncomfortable, unreliable, thirsty and handles terribly on the road but despite this its almost universally loved by petrolheads

And heres mine

So what other crap petrolhead cars are there

No, I agree - the Alfa is the perfect embodiment of the OPs reasoning; objectively mostly st and a nightmare to own but somehow the essence of petrolheadedness

Do I dare risk it?.........TVR's are pretty crap.

Under engineered, full of body filler, they leak, unreliable, bits fall off, chassis's rust, poor interior quality trim, awful electrics, tend to kill people in the wet, I could go on.

I'd still love a Griffith though.

Bit unfair to the Defender - it's brilliant at what it's designed for, just not great as a road car. You'll be telling us next that F1 cars are crap because they are no good in multi-storey car parks! wink

Falls apart - not mine
Noisy - mine is too quiet
Left hand drive - yep
Expensive to run - yep
Horrible dash - comical
Uncomfy - Crema Leather Recaro hi-backs are some of the best seats in any car, steering wheel is fine but you would struggle to put it in 5th if you had short arms smile

Rusty, slow, noisy, crampt, odd driving position, unreliable and quirky. But it goes like a go kart and makes me laugh when you rag it about, so it'll do for me smile
