Have just lost power to fuel pump - and have taken it temporarly from tail light. Its not the fuse wondering if anyone knows the 2nd place to start looking.

Thanks

You'll have to chase it back. You should have a fused supply to the relay, through the inertial cut-off to the pump. The control circuit through the relay has a fused ignition switched supply on the +ve side and the -ve side is earthed through the ECU.

MM time, but make sure the inertia switch has not tripped first - its as good a place to start with your mm as well. Don't look for 12v, measure the resistance with the relay out once you have confirmed that the relay switches the req'd 12v (it'll only prime momentarily if your engine isn't running).

Had the exact same thing recently. Checked all of the above, it ended up being the immobilizer only working when it wants to. Last time it happened I set the alarm off, re set it & it worked!! irked

When this happened to mine I found it was one of the loose fuses on the wiring loom near the metal relays, good luck, John.

Brian is in Australia chaps, and needs directions to his inertia switch. Are they in a standard place behind the glove box?

Here's a schematic of the fuel pump / ecu wiring (does not include immobilizer) if you need one:

Hi Guys
I Have done all the suggested things now!!- being. Fuel Pump OK / Fuses OK/ Relay OK / Inertia Switch OK !!
I have tracked yellow and black ( Fuel Pump Wiring )to the Immobiliser switch plug. At this point I have no power coming in BUT I can feed dummy power ( to the out )and the fuel pump will operate. From here the power supply (yellow and black) enters another plug system and then converts to black, whereby it disappears through the fire wall - QUESTION where does the little black sucker go from here!!?? I need help!!
