It's Christmas Tour time again.

This is now the third annual Christmas Tour. It’s on Sunday 28th December. Saturday will be too much of a Boxing day hang over so it's our first Sunday Funday Tour.

We'll start out at Shrewsbury at 9.30am, stop for a pub lunch around 12 and finish around 4.30pm in Llangollen. The route is around 165 miles of unbelievable roads.

Last year attracted over 20 cars and it's a free (petrol and lunch excluded!)

We'll split into two groups this time to suit different driving style

The route will avoid the main tourist routes and take in more challenging scenic roads. We’ll take in our favourite roads from the last trip.

We’ll start out at the Shrewbury Dobbies garden Centre Roundabout Roundabout. The same one used for the previous tours tour.

I recommend purchase some cheap walkie talkie this time like the Binatone MR150. You can get them from Asda.

I've got Autoroute 2006 so you can download direction and TomTom Files. I supply details a few days before.

Anyway post if you wish to join.

If your running semi slick tyres, it's best to change to normal or winter tyres as Wales is too unforgiving in the damp or wet.

Ian, I am going on the DA as well!

Cmr2Payne doesn't think he can make the Saturday so I thought why not go the Sunday. I was little worried that the DA tour would not attract enough interest and be cancelled last minutes so I thought instead of wishing I had run a tour I'd just tour NW for 2 days.

hehehe... hey Skoda - now there's a thought!

I've gone completely the opposite and bought a girly 306 Pininfarina - the closest I'll ever get to a Ferrari!!...lol

Thought I'd miss the roof off experience more than the engine size... see how long that lasts wink

I had a feeling you might have got another pug, Cat. Thought it may have been a 206cc....thats very girly. Is the 306 a 2 litre with 135bhp? Can't be that slow if it is. I don't think the handling is in the same class as the GTI-6 though. Bet you miss that.

It's the Driving Adventures Christmas party this weekend so I should be able attract a few others and I have posted the tour on the North Wales thread.

It's good to see chief sheep shagger Cmr2Payne back as well.

can anyone recommend me a nice "country" hotel thats nearby? I'd like to come up the day before with the missus.

Cost isnt much of an issue, would rather pay a bit more for "manor house" than pub B&B, it'll be a chrimbo treat!
