British GT Ticket Giveaway
50 pairs of tickets up for grabs for the final British GT race of 2008
The Avon Tyres British GT Championship has provided some of the closest racing of the year and in a week’s time comes to a close at Donington Park. James Gornall and Jon Barnes claimed the 2008 drivers crown at Brands Hatch and CR Scuderia wrapped up the team title at Silverstone in August, with Matt Nicol-Jones and Stewart Linn claiming the inaugural GT4 title.
With no titles up for grabs, the 2-hour race at Donington Park on Sunday 12 October will be a straight fight to claim the winner’s laurels in the final encounter of the year.
It should be an action-packed race and PistonHeads is offering 50 pairs of tickets for the race on Sunday, October 12. The names will be plucked out of the hat at random and the tickets will be sent early next week in time for the race.
Please send your name and address to competitions@pistonheads.com and put ‘British GT’ in the subject line. Your entires must be in by Monday October 6.

If you want to get into an British GT race free of charge just drive upto the competitors entrance with a Dark polo shirt on and a pair of gloves on the dash and say you're a mechanic for one of the teams bringing spare parts in, even get to park in the competitors paddock... Works everytime
havent entered as too late now im sure but the BGT is a fantastic series - ive been the las 3 years now to oulton to watch it and it never dissapoints...
that smell of race fuel wafting through the air intertwined with the wail of the lambo's V10 or the thunder of a monaro V8 as they thunder upto druids marks the sign of the summer months for me..
bliss

At Donny, all you do is turn up in a Zonda or the like and head for the tunnel entrance and say your a driver and need to park your car in the infield. Works everytime. Especialy if the old dear is working and she normally is.Will26 said:

I prefer the mechanic idea!

If you can afford a Zonda is £10 for a ticket a real problem? Although from working in British GT and LMES for a few years it is obvious rich people are the tightest ass baasstards around.

Can you buy tickets at the gate or is it by booking only?
I assume pay on the gate is fine, although the less than useless Donington website doesn't appear to publish prices for non-advanced tickets on the Saturday or Sunday.Aside from F1 I've never been to a UK Motorsport event where you need to pre-book. I imagine Donington can let a good 100,000+ in, and it's likely there will be more paddock crew/hangers on than actual spectators.

Even if I do not win a pair of tickets I am tempted to go anyway
