I bought it 2 months ago for £5500....

It runs out of tax end of this month...

needs a C/converter and 2 new front tyres within the next 1000 miles...legal still.

Want 4k for it. its not the leather interior model but still at that price....I'm sure your not picky.

Selling this quickly means I keep my bike.

Method in the madness. Only way to sell really quickly is to let it go for a price that is very attractive to your market:

Silly price on a classified

Auction with no reserve

Visit your local dealers, and see what they will give you

Last resort, that "we buy any car" website - I forget the URL.

I'm sorry mate, but there's no way I would pay £4k for a 42k mile 182 Cup that needs two new tyres, taxing and a cat!

tyres are fk all,cat is £270 and takes 20 mins to fit..tax is not much....do all that and could sell it and make a grand easy profit.

Find a dealer who will take it on Sale or return. They can take the cost of doing the MOT out of the sale price.

Surely there is your answer right there. Got a cash offer on the table. You want a quick sale, you got it.

Ebay, no reserve.

But I would wait till Jan personally as this time of year must be a bad time if you are trying to sell, even worse in the curent climate.

I've sold my last two cars this way but you need to be realistic at what sort of price you are going to get. e.g. I was selling my old CLK in the summer. Was on Autotrader at £3,995 to make sure it was on the front page of any searches. Dropped the price to £3795 and still nothing. Put it on Ebay with a reserve of £3,500 and the highest it got was £3,100 so no sale but one of the bidders contacted me and eventually the deal was done for £3,500.

So, if you want to sell it Ebay is the quickest way of doing it, but if you are a bit precious about what price it should get because "it is so much better than every other car out there", it's not going to go quick.

If a dealer has offered 3 grand I would take it and run, he wont offer that in January.
Stick it on pistonheads for £3500 and see if you get any takers, but the dealer is the quickest, less hassle route.

But a perfect 182 Cup with 42k miles on the clocks is worth what, £5k ish.
So I need ~£70/80 for each of the tyres, £270 for the cat (quite which part is only £270 I don't know) and £205 for a years tax.
If I had the cash right this second I'd possibly be interested (am on the hunt for a 182 at present) but not if I have to cough up another £600ish at least...

I completely agree with.
If you're desperate, there's an offer waiting. smile

Hi Mate,
Where abouts are you? Do you have any details, pics, or a detailled description? I have binned my Chim last night, and looking for a new car up to 3.5k max.
What mpgish does it do on a run, and are there any problems (apart from the tyres and cat?) when does MOT expire?

I am looking to get a car shapish (this weekend) and will obvoiusly pay cash.

Cheers

Tom

Have you advertised it in the classifieds on here?

What about on specialist forums (fora) like renaultsport.co.uk as well?

See what other similar cars are going for and make it cheaper.

If you make it cheap enough you should have lots of interest.

Get it up quick though as it is getting close to Christmas. d
