Hope it's not a repost but the search is currently down.

Saw what looked like a pretty bad accident in Milton Keynes yesterday down Monks Way.
Road closed at the Land Rover garage with a car on it's roof and a silver Peugeot also involved - emergency services all over the place.
Second accident along there in 5 days - VX220 written off on Tuesday.

Anyone got any news on this as it looked fairly bad? Hope everyone's OK.

I don't know anything about it, but I've put a link in the Herts, Beds, Bucks & Cambs forum.

Let's hope it was no-one from PH and even more, let's hope it wasn't fatal.

Is this the bit where they have posted up 40mph signs near the M1 junction because of the roadworks and roundabout widening yet most seem to ignore it and carry on at 60+ ?

No this is the road you go up if your heading from Newport Pagnell to Olney. You come downhill from M1 past Marriot hotel and turn right towards Land Rover Garage and Anker International.

Although i do agree about the 40 zones as i have to tackle that everyday, not fun when a lorry comes up behind you and slams the anchors on as your doing the limit...

No, it was at the Newport Pagnell roundabout next to the Land Rover garage, heading out of Milton Keynes.

I was stuck on the roundabout right after it happened. It was an awful crash and i have never seen anything like it.
I was told the guy in the BMW convertable died and his passenger seriously injured. No word on the Peugeot drivers.
It looked like the BMW was T-boned.
RIP.
Was weird. Couldn't work out how on earth you can roll a car on that little bit. Drove past this morning and you'd never know it had happened. So was it the Peugeot that t-boned the BM? And which way was everyone going? All seemed impossible to me. Sent a chill down my spine when we filtered off.

Sounds silly as I didn't know any of them but I was absolutely gutted when I saw the "Fatal Accident" boards.

Seems to be saying that the BMW was coming into Milton Keynes - if that's the case then it flipped right over the barrier into oncoming traffic.

Managed to get a speeding issue in there though.....

When me and the Mrs arrived on the roundabout going towards Olney we were at the back of the Queue with the BM and the Pug at the roundabout infront of us by the turning for the Landrover garage. The BM was on its roof sideways facing the garage and the Pug at 45 degrees across both lanes. I presumed the BM had gone round the roundabout and got punted by the Pug but now you sent that link that could make sense also by the positioning. The amount of Debris and carnage about was shocking and it really shook me and the OH up. It is a shame whatever happned. What shocked me most was the state of the BMW, it looked like the screen and bars failed as it was dead flat on the floor. We are talking headrests on the road...

We were made to turn around and i headed back upto towards J14. Very sad.

So are you a MK man Noble?

The BMW was at the Ultimate BMW Show at Santa Pod and was on his way home. The passenger is the drivers son, the driver died at the scene.

This was the car http://www.ca-automotive.co.uk/demo-bW9kZT12aWV3Jm...

It's amazing there haven't been more accidents there, it's such a fast stretch of road.

The logic of some people really does defy me.

Must admit I was guilty of that. I saw the red brake calipers and nice alloys in the air and thought "18 year-old with girlfriend. Probably going too fast on a nice sunny day.".

It does sound like he was coming into Milton Keynes, which means he must have vaulted the roundabout and/or the barrier to end up where he did.

I saw him around MK on that very road a couple of times in recent weeks and he always gave me a beaming smile when he saw the Noble. That's what my 'horrid thought' was.

Drove past the scene this morning on the way to work and saw all the fatal accident signs.

article said:
It is believed that the car was heading along the A422 from Olney when tragedy struck at about 3pm.
I was coming home the other way at about 2.30 so must have just missed it. Cripes.

Article also said:
Onlookers at the scene, some with cameras, meant rescue crews had to use advertising banners from the garage to erect a makeshift screen as they cut the victims from the wreckage.

Such a shame, seems a nice guy by the forum posts and the car looked nice too. Was deffo the one i saw.

As for the people with there camera phones out, it was true the sick fkers!

I forgot the BMW meet was on at Santa Pod, explains the amount of BMW's parked up on the opposite side of the road.

It's been a long time since I lived in MK, but is that the road also known as Chichley Hill with the double roundabout at the bottom, left towards J14 M1 and right onto Tickford Street and Aston Martin?

Exactly the place. Poor guy ended up upside down on the opposite carriageway in the tiny bit of road in between the two roundabouts. Still not entirely sure how.

Holy crap. That road used to be much better before the second roundabout got put in with that stupid chicane meaning you had to slow down a lot more than normal. I can kind of see how it might have happened now.

Agreed, the chicane has done more harm that good. I have seen probably 10 crashes this year here and my Mrs mate got pushed onto the grass by a lorry on the 2nd roundabout my Land Rover a month or so ago. It goes to narrow really and lane markings confuse people.

Yes, the turn is a bit too tight to follow the markings properly unless you really crawl round.
Lots of people cut the corner a bit.
