What a car!

Although it is worth a lot I would find it hard to sell it as I am a setimental and nostalgic soul. That would apply to any valuable item found, not just a car.

What a wonderful find! I do hope she gets a good home, though at that price I suspect this is 'given'.

A great thing to inherit but I think there is some journalistic spin going on when they claim it is a barn find.

I suspect Bonhams would call it that to raise awareness of the sale. The quote you quoted is also telling:

There are still ones out there, slowly rotting away. And a lot of people know exactly where these things are. But until the owners wishes to sell, they remain secret. The chances of you or I walking in the countryside and discovering a car in a barn are virtually nill.

Reminds me of the time that guy opened the garage and found 40 + old cars. Anyone remember the website with all the pictures?

Why? I dont really understand why there would be a stunning car like that and the owner wouldnt touch it from 1960. He lived for another 47 years! and I imagine the aston and E type werent exactly daily hacks either.

doesnt surprise me, the guys at prescott have a knowledge of the marque that surpasses all other car clubs, the fact that they knew about this car doesnt surprise me, its so rare and the history of the cars is so well researched that they should know where the cars are. out of respect though, they wouldnt divulge the location but even if they did, anyone who stole it would never be able to sell it on such.
