what the hell is going on, saying that though this could clear the way for the existing bbc motogp team to bugger off to f1 coverage and us have the moody, ryder and mamola team on bbc motogp!!!

I can't help but think where the hell are they going to squeeze practice & qualifying in then? The BBC couldn't give a feck about MotoGP. At least Eurosport are a dedicated sports channel & therefore have a clue what they're doing with a quality product like MotoGP.

This is gonna be worse than F1's move to ITV......BY MILES.

And anyways, I thought Eurosport WAS free?

your forgetting that the bbc have said they will use there interactive channels to show every race next year and those that dont clash with f1 will be shown on bbc2.

and no one will be replcing eurosport, dorna say that in the crash net ad, so thats it, you want to watch motogp, you watch it on bbci with moody, ryder and mamola (i hope)

Er.... sorry to be a bit thick here, but I'm having trouble understanding that statement.

As far as I can see Eurospurt have lost MotoGP. That means no Momola/Ryder/Moody.

The Eurosport coverage is streets ahead of BBC in terms of both quantity and quality. Just hope to god the commentary team do go to the BBC, along with coverage of the 125s and 250s.

While that's true I don't think I can encourage sky+ to record a race if it's shown through the red button interactive malarky... unless I'm mistaken which I hope I am.

Oh FFS. MotoGP on the BBC is sh*te. The commentary is awful and they won't be showing practise session and qualifying, that is for certain.

The ONLY reason I got a Sky dish was to get Eurosport so I could Watch Moto gp (Well the 500's many moons ago!!) The commentary is fantastic Julian, Toby, and Randy know the riders know the back ground of the riders, know the bikes and whats been tested on them, and the Teams nearly all on first name terms. The BBC so called Commentary is an absolute joke by comparison they cant even get the names of the top class riders right!! Sunday was just appaling the first British winner of a 125 race in years and it wasn t even televised. AS has been said, IF there is any Justice then the BBC will employ the services of Moody, Ryder, Mamola and dump the other idiots into late night Bingo!!

BBC are really pushing their online/BBCi services heavily right now; I didn't realise until Donington, but you can watch the 125 & 250 races online and through BBCi live. Qualifying for the Sachsenring will also be shown through BBCi and the website. You can find more info here:

That's the good news: I reckon the bad news is everyone is right about the commentary team! Even though (thanks to work) I've been watching the races through iplayer this year, given the choice I much prefer Eurosport over BBC. Suzi is okay, but Charlie Cox is ignorant and I just plain don't like Steve Parrish, never have. Fingers crossed the Eurosport team get snapped up by the Beeb, not holding my breath though.

This is very bad news. I like watching the practice and qualifying on Eurosport and obviously the race. I'm worried this is going to be made more difficult next year. When the adverts come on Eurosport during the race i flick over to BBC to watch the race and the commentary is shocking, it's as if they're talking us through paint drying (i find myself scrabbling for the 'back' button)! And that's before i get started on the plain weird aspect ratio it is broadcast in.

I just hope that Toby, Julian and Randy are kept wherever it goes as i think they're commentary is the best of any sport not just Moto GP, they're knowledgeable, funny and above all you can tell they're propper fans too.

Dorna have dropped a rather large Bo**ock on this one.

Oh fk This is indeed a dark day for MotoGP. Dorna have really made a mess of this one! The BBC Coverage is woefully inadequate at best and as others have said paint drying commentators do not make good motorcycling pundits. I am certain that we will not be seeing the practice and qualifying live on TV and even if online will probably be highlight type shows not the full coverage. And to be honest even if they are the full show I do not want to watch them on my computer. I have a perfectly good 42" plasma screen that allows me to watch the coverage from the comfort of a nice sofa. Watching on my laptop sat at my desk is just not conducive to the correct fame of beer mind . All in all not happy.
