If you just want the wheels tarted up to sell the car then probably not. But if you plan to keep the car then probably yes.

Just be careful with magnesium. I am sure Diamond Styling are excellent, I have not used them, but old mag wheels can be dangerous. They can corrode, fatigue and crack none of which are sensibly repairable. Depending on your intended use I would be looking at new replacements. Sorry!

Richard.

I've been speaking to my local 'Wicked Wheels' franchise lately regarding getting a tiny bit of kerb damage repaired on an RS Magnesium alloy (no major damage - just being a perfectionist). Needs sanding, filling and respray/touch in - not full respray, just a localised repair.

They are confident they can do a good repair to my magnesium wheel. Should I believe them?

P.S. Wildoliver - did you powdercoat or paint those wheels?

Many thanks,
Rich

They are painted, butI would only powdercoat ally or steel wheels not Mag, too often the mag causes popping in the finish.
