Just out of interest; what do you actually do in these situations?

it's really bad luck. still on the plus side you're ok and at least you have a chance of getting out of it scott free insurance wise... as i alluded to on the other post my only accident was cos of a middleaged woman locking up, sliding onto a roundabout, me dodging her getting on to some mud left by a construction, firm getting a tank slapper on and doing a marvelous job of over-correcting and going through a ped barrier (thankfully no one there)... so i lost my ncb... the flaming woman didn't even hang about..let alone have to claim!

with elephant they don't really give a monkey's about claims after a 2 yrs (it increases the quote but not by an enormous amount)... and now i don't have to mention it... but i guess you are in more of a pickle cos i guess a 182 trophy costs a good amount to insure anyway... but if you do have to trade down - just think at least you are still here! i was really disenfranchised with (driving) cars for about 2 years and i don't go really quick now but i actually enjoy driving since getting the mcs and I go swiftly... I know it doesn't help but it'll be alright (enough!) in the end..!

thanks for the advice! looks as if i have exceeded my monthly bandwith and its only the bloody 6th!

hopefully it will all be sorted soon. the insurers saying that i could have photoshopped the photograph is the most rediculous thing!

if anyone wants to see pics just let me know, maybe i can host from tinypic.com.

Am feeling for you I remember you being so excited (and quite rightly too) before picking that fantastic car up, and even more excited when you got it!
I hope it's fixed and back to its former glory ASAP for you.

you have no idea how much i want you to be right or how much i agree with you! seriously, i wish it was fixed now, but that isn't the case, i just hope that it doesnt take long, it only needs a new bumper, and a bonnet, and a new xenon light, and needs the radiator fixing, and needs the metal fixing where the bumper attaches, and a new grill, and a cup splitter.

it sounds a lot but it isn't really, i just hope that it is as good as when it was the day before i got ran into!

Just though i'd reiterate my post about not taking it to Nationwide. My audi now has to go back to them a 4th time so they can get a simple tailgate replacement right.

Your additional costs (insurance) should be factored into your claim against the third party. Make sure you demand this from your insurance company. You shouldn't be financially affected by something like this.

thanks for that mate, its gone to a place called just car clinic, who anniesdad tells me are a massive company, so i think it should be okay.

but if its not obviously im gonna get them to put it right, as there was absolutely not a mark on it, with it only being around 4-5 months old

Audi's just gone back to nationwide a 4th time today. Apparently it's the insurance company's fault that nationwide can't do anything right first time. I just wish they'd written the damn thing off now. Was my ideal car last year but now i can barely stand the sight of the sodding thing.

Hope things go better for you, sounds like you've got a bit of backup behind you so you shouldn't get pissed about as much as i've been.

thats harsh, i really do hope that it gets sorted this time, but doesn't sound like you've been having much luck at all.

I went to visit the garage today and it looked like a very good operation, so hopefully will be fixed all well and good, i can even track the progress of my car on the internet which i think is superb! the woman behind the desk said that once the parts have been ordered/arrived it will take 8 days to fix, so thats not so bad.
