Surely this is a wind up? If it's not then you are exactly one week late at coming back to the forums. It was som uch fun here last Friday....
If I was you I would never return here again and don't read anything posted so far and just go and enjoy the car...or you might be slightly surprised what you find....

For reference i paid Tom Hartley £150k for it new!!
christ, a £25k premium?!?!
I have to ask lonman, (you are free to do whatever you want with your possessions obviously so not being judgemental) but why didn't you service the car per the schedule or at all "unless something broke"
Genuinely interested whether it was just a case of could not be arsed, or you are so busy it was never convenient - just seems a shame when the steed seemes to have been so faithful to you.

Despite it's relative neglect in the service area, the car is fine. You are maybe asking the wrong question. Should you not be asking, why do we all spend so much on servicing cars, when most of the time it's not needed?

Very true, the manufacturers have managed to instill fear into everybody.........current condition that counts not the fact its had 45 services in 10000 miles..(Ferrari)

You could well be right, however most do it to preserve a) the manufacturers warranty b) the FSH when they sell the car on. Interesting to see if money saved exceeds money lost in b) though.
So it is out of principle that you disagree with the manufacturers recommended service schedule? Do you do this on all makes of car you own?
