So... after five years of driving MX-5's - a Mk3 and a Mk3.5 with a Mk1 and a Mk2.5 in between, I decided that I needed a change. Much thought was had and I realised I wanted a hot hatch again (having previously owned a FF 182). Now having a motorbike, I figured the convertible could go.

I looked at all the usual suspects and came away not really 'thrilled' by them. I'm losing the convertible aspect and so it had to make up for it in the driving experience. Anyway, I've ended up with one of these. 4k miles so barely used - seems pretty darn good so far - have done 600 miles in the past week.

It has 180bhp from it's 1.6 turbo, with 200 on overboost, and a heck load of torque. Looking forward to getting it Mountune'd in a few months. It's a top spec model with pretty much all the options except rear parking sensors and a centre rear headrest...!

Thanks to Tom for the photos - haven't taken any of my own yet!

Bought exactly the same (colour, options etc) as you last week but it already had the mountune upgrade

Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. The mountune website has 4th gear 31-62mph down as 5.7 seconds but it's far closer to 5 seconds

It's also impressed me with regards to MPG this week in the rush hour motorway traffic, returning around 44mpg. That does drop through the floor as soon as you give it some though biggrin

Really love these and they're definitely in my thoughts for my next car - everything just seems to fall into place perfectly. Absolute bargain as well! Great choice smile
