I've gone for option 2 as it has allowed my 7 to be included. It would also allow other forms of racing cars such as Indycars.
I'm not against an Armoured Vehicle either.
I expect cost is not such an issue as it was for the first GB as that was an attempt to get people back into modelling or modelling for the first time and we didn't want people spending a fortune and then abandoning the project.

It looks like cost is not a consideration this time.
Also, the last group build has as its motive the oppoprtunity to share techniques and help each other out if one of us had a query or problem. If we include resin or white metal kits, there will be less oppotrtunity to do this.
I would suggest that we don't include 1/43 models this time round. I've nothing against them as I've built a few on the odd occasion but for the moment I would stick (not literally) to a basic plastic kit.
I've a couple of 1/32 models in the stash as well so would like it if the scale range was expanded to 1/32.

I wonder if there's a conversion set to allow you to build the launch version (with airbox, flat sidepods and no tyre windows)? My Dad built a Western Models white metal version just after the launch:6 wheeler car here with paint numbers.

Just considering whether it's worth spending more on the 'photo etch' Japanese GP version. It probably is...

Sorry for the delay - I will create a wiki but not sure when as my work connection is very slow so it may be tonight.
Subject is confirmed as a 1/20th to 1/25th scale racing car snd GB to run until the end of July actual end date TBC.
Each person to create their own thread with GB: <make> <scale> <model> as subject e.g GB: Tamiya 1:20th McLaren mp4 4

Ill be up for this one. Whilst i do have a Martini Alfa 155 to make, i'm sensing a potential fail with the decals so will probably attempt something else
Good stuff - once decided add your name and subject to the wiki, also if we could direct any discussion onto the chat thread (stickied) we should be able to keep it all together.Gassing Station | Scale Models | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
