As a parent, I agree pubs are not suitable for kids. I go to the pub for drink and banter not to be annoyed by some t ts children running amok.

Talking of idle wives, went for a barby to a pal who has a most idle wife. He puts a burger, sausages and other meat stuff on my plate which was great. I look around, ask said pals wife, "where's the salad etc" and the lazy b h replies. "Growing in the garden, help yourself"! Amusing though it was it it confirmed my thoughts. My pals a nob for marrying her! True story.

vsonix said: or the poor guy Oh dear, not a good start. vsonix said: one SPECS mishap away from losing his license "One SPECS mishap"? As has already been said, if he is struggling with the concept of average speed monitoring, perhaps the fast-paced and evr-so complicated environment of the motorway isn't the best place for him. vsonix said: wanted to get clear of the HGVs and found that without going even faster, couldn't pass them, so maybe was having to drop back again to slot in behind? Perhaps I didn't make it clear in my post, or perhaps you're being deliberately obtuse, but this knob had a completely empty lane one about a foot or so to his left. He wasn't trying to get clear of anything; he was just stubbornly hogging the middle lane and doing around 5mph less than those around him. vsonix said: In fairness, there was still another lane to pass him with. I trust you don't mean lane three? vsonix said: Those average speed zones mess with people on a whole load of levels. Not "people", just cretins.

I'd hate to see that.

I hate stickers like that. "If you ain't rubbin' you ain't v-dubbin" "DUBWAY" "Slammed" "Dirty stancing" "Illest" "Lower than your grans nipples" And for the jap cars "JDM as f k" "Eat, breathe, sleep JDM" I don't get how people can stick played out s t like that on their cars and possibly think it's good/funny/witty etc.

If I saw that parked outside my local primary school when I'm dropping my nephew off I'd certainly have a word with the driver.

My mate and his boy, but more so my mate! Brief history, his boy has been driving for about 2 years and in that time he has bought his son the following cars Fiesta ST - first car after passing - blew the engine 4 months later Corsa vxr - replaced the ST -sold as it was boring!? Civic Type R - Crashed Subaru Impreza STI - big accident that nearly claimed his life. Now bear in mind the above comment, he has now decided that his son will be better suited to a 'safe' model car, you'd be thinking a safe car is something fairly small engined/underpowered therefore nulling his desire to speed and race, right? Well tomorrow he is taking his son to a local Audi dealer and putting down an order on an S4 or an S3! He seems to have forgotten the conversation we had after the Impreza accident and how he was scared he would lose his boy in an accident if he didn't teach him safe and responsible driving! Way to teach him ehh I feel like I should say something to him about his decision but can't see it going down as a good intentioned bit of advice I'd intend it to be. Edit - could be worse I supose, he could be getting him the RS variants

^^^^^ mate of a mate is like that kid.
Every car he's had he's binned. Twice landed in hospital.
Each time, daddy replaces it with something newer, faster and twice the price.
Day the kid passed his test he was texting people with type R's offering them races, in his 1400cc fiesta!

99% of the cars currently in Newquay on the 'Run to the Sun'. Just went for a drive with the Mrs and had the misfortune of finding ourselves in a line of said traffic. Stupidly low, fluorescent coloured standard wheels, angel eye headlights, an overweight female in the passenger seat and too much bass, seemed to be the order of the day, as they wheel-span their way towards McDonalds. I would have taken a photo but was concerned they might think we liked what they'd done?!

You may have a point he doesn't look much like his dad tbh I supose my only concern really is that, so far he's not injured anyone but himself luckily, but his luck is going to run out one day and someone else is gonna get caught in the carnage

This may have been mentioned already but people who brake unnecessarily hard and for no apparent reason. Just followed a 523i doing it every 30 seconds for 10 miles. Almost made me want to rear-end him just so I could get out and slap him in the face. Knob.

People who do no anticipate when approaching a roundabout, i.e, slamming the brakes on last minute and not looking way in advance, why make driving difficult for yourself.
