Just had a new BB (Chris King) and grips fitted to my 2007 Stumpjumper HT. The BB removed the final weak link - an XT BB that came with the crankset.

The stem and frame are now the only original parts. Considering Pushloc (I have Poploc) but that's about it. The reason being - Pushloc is Matchmaker compatible and would tidy up the bars a bit. And it's better.

Rather pleased with it!

Am I allowed to post pics? This is without the new grips (SRAM ODI lock ons)

The mud collected by that mudguard will easily weigh more than the weight saved on your handlebars hehe

Very nice!

How much is the pushloc upgrade? must be a bit, it's a new compression setup isn't it? Agree it's much nicer than poploc tho!

Looks very smart. The advice I had from TF Tuned was to ditch the lockout on my Rebas, as it was almost certainly the cause of the blown seals they fixed for me.

That looks a very handy bit of kit.

Specialized make some brilliant and very attractive-looking hardtail frames.

Cheers all! I use it a lot and really am pleased with how responsive and quick it is.

Shal - Pushloc is around £130 here or £80 from the States. A fair whack TBH but with the new grips (wider than the last ones) I have to have my Poploc outboard of the shifters/brakes. I'd rather stick a Pushloc unit on the Matchmaker clamp (Poploc has it's own small diameter clamp - put it inboard of the shifters/brakes and the bar taper is too big) to tidy it up and stick the unit inboard if I can.

Will give the bike a good test and see how it feels. Looking forward to the lack of BB creak - been annoying me for years!

That is very very nice, i am a big fan of Specialized and to be honest, wouldnt mind a stumpy frame to put all my bits on. Or a Rockhopper as i loved mine when i had it!

Cheers Curlie!

Wife has a Rockhopper (2008 Disk with a few upgrades) - excellent bike and great VFM.

Very nice indeed. Though is that a Specialized BG Phenom Saddle? They seriously hurt your backside.

Yep - it's the SL model which is carbon with ti rails - I find it really comfy. Think it flexes to your bum shape!
