I think they said it'd be in Longford Park.

South Manchester (Fallowfield) ParkRun is cancelled next week, will deff give another local one a go.
I run at Bramhall, it is a nice run to do with a mixture of woods, trail paths and a lake smile

Completed my 10th today, as it happens now 10 pb's in a row too, down from a genuine 25 mins before I started to 22.19 today, I could probably manage a minute quicker still as the hilly part of my local run gets me every time.

First time as run director which wasn't as stressful as I thought it would be. I was able to run it as well and ended up 1s off a course PB which was unexpected.

Didn't have time for the usual warmup routine due to the run director stuff so shows how much difference that makes :P

First parkrun on Saturday. I did hope for a sub-20 but patellar tendinitis and the remnants of a hamstring pull will put paid to that.

21:44 in the end. Not sure if I'm happy or not really!

That's fine. You can always go back and beat it!

That is true! Not for another 8-9 weeks though, I'll be away from any park run. Still, I've effectively already beaten it; I read it as 21:44 but it was actually 21:41!

I ran at Penrose parkrun in Cornwall this morning. Lovely scenic course taking in some fields, woods and a lovely sea view. Relative to many courses it's pretty tough going too.

Got a 2015 PB last sat running with a 30 min pacer. I think he was a bit off though, I got 29.05!

biggrin

Am going to try and beat my ParkRun PB of 28.27 in a couple of weeks.

Great North Run this weekend with my dad, he's 67 and it's his first big timed run, so we'll be taking it nice and easy.

At least he was wrong in the fast direction, you'd have been upset if he'd done 30.05 smile

Some pacers are spot on - I know someone who will pace 21:00 without a watch 'because I know when I'm running 21 minute pace', he'll come in at 20:58.

Others even with a watch are all over the place, some too quick and some too slow so you have to check the time yourself to be certain, but as the pacers are doing it as a favour to everyone else we can't complain too much, although we did persuade a very keen 20 min pacer who kept coming in at 20:40 that it would be better if he paced 21 and was a bit quick rather than being 40 secs slow!

Nell McAndrew paces at Bushy sometimes, that's worth running a 22 minute parkrun for!

Think I've finally regained my motivation for Parkrun after hitting 50 runs back in May.

Still no update with getting my 50 t-shirt though after nearly 4 months, is this normal?

There is a massive backlog of shirts to be cleared with more people joining the queue on a weekly basis. All you can do is keep checking your profile page to see when the order link appears under the parkrun club option.

First Parkrun back on my home course since getting married and coming back off honeymoon. 19:33 when I should have been nearer 19:15... Thinking I may have to adjust my impending half marathon target to sit more in line with current ability!

The backlog is being worked through in order of how long you've been waiting, most of the first shipment of 20 or 30,000 have been distributed and there's another batch arriving soon.

As KTF says, keep checking your parkrun profile, there's a new log in being introduced https://www.parkrun.com/signin/ - it is available for everyone but not been announced cos they didn't want 2 million people all trying it out at once so it's been passed to event teams and will gradually escape into the wild.

Once you're in you can check if it's ready for you to order your shirt.

That's what I meant smile

I am also on the list for a 50 but I am less than 10 away from a volunteer shirt as well so am in no rush as I plan to order them together.

The new 50 shirts that I have seen look a bit more 'pink' than the Adidas ones but fair play to Tribesports for picking up the tab for the shirts and wiggle for the distribution. Much better than handing them out at the briefing.

Visited Tilgate on Saturday, Made the mistake of thinking it would be fairly flay as it's round a lake, but the hill on the section away from the lake just kept going. Very disappointing to look at my GPS track and find it's only 26 meters, especially as on the same day I saw EwenM's Mountain run track on Strava biggrin

Still it was my fastest run in a couple of months, and presumably down the fact I'd actually been out for a run a couple of times in the week after a couple of months of only managing once a week.

Alice Holt next week for some nastier hills and my 25th different parkrun.

Getting back to peak fitness to run my joint second fastest time at my home course of Cannon Hill. Bodes well for my upcoming half marathon.

Thrilled to see Cardiff, my home event away from home, get a new course record of 14:24 to be second behind Andy Baddeley over at Bushy.

New course best of 19:53 on the Netley parkrun 'b' route yesterday.

Sub 20 on both the flat (19:37 but would be faster now) and single hill routes in the bag with just the double hill route to go when they change to that over winter.
