Anyone work in Exhibitions/Events?
Discussion
She's recently been let go rather unjustly it seems, no reason given apart from "not the right fit" despite hitting target each month, it was a travel based exhbition that she was account managing europe for (huge show, if not the biggest in travel) and I was wondering where is good ot look for jobs in exhibitions sales/account management, or whether anyone knows of anything from here?
I've tried to usual job boards, but I'm not up to date on the best job boards for this kind of thing, any advice or whatever really apreciated!

If she was involved in selling space, that's something I know little about TBH.
The only advice I can offer is to simply look through the usual exhibition trade magazines - exhibtionnews.co.uk for example is a regular with a job section.
It's bloody difficult currently, although I'm don't understand why she was 'let go' if she was on target!
Good luck

Ah ok.
She was yes, but also it seems dealing with all the other things they wanted to know, so more of a consultant than telesales if you see what I mean. I'll pass that website on, thanks.
I know, very bizarre. Manager is hard to get on with apparently, but seems a little harsh to give no reason at all.
Anyway, thanks so far.

You're not a million miles away from the NEC, I'd have a look at local exhibition companies to see what they have on offer.
There will always be times when every company are stretched. For example we have 6 stands to install at one show next week and whilst we can cover these, if we had another commitment on the same date I'd be looking for more hands.
If you want to drop me a line I'll gladly keep your details on file. However I'd need to know more details about your history as a pair of hands is often more than that and we need guys with some experience (can't afford simply to hire and then teach on the day).
Best of luck, it's a difficult market currently.
