Since when did we have to pay for adverts in the classifieds
Discussion
OK just checked, it's still free for me, though whoever wrote the copy and managed the revised layout could do with getting it reworked - it's confusing as hell.
Jenx: I'm guessing you got to the edit advert page - the one right at the end of the submission process where it says it'll be £16 for (x) days and has 'OK, we're nearly there' or something as the title. At the bottom of that page, it gives old members like us the 'submit advert to PH for free' button - costs nothing, obviously, despite the implication that you're about to be charged for it in the initial paragraphs.
It's been moved to the backwater because it's giving website feedback, oddly enough. Chill out
FWIW, I'd really suggest PH invest in a decent copywriter for those pages - it's very amateurish and confusing - I appreciate you don't want to openly shout that long termers get it free so as to keep the paying punters happy, but there's far better ways of addressing that. Happy to assist FOC, as it's utterly crap as it is now.

Glad you got it sorted, and thanks for the other suggestions on copy. We know that it needs tidying up...
Jenx - have no fear about being asked to pay for a subscription to the forums. This will never happen. The classifieds pricing thing is specifically designed to reward long standing members - the antidote to new customers only, if you like.

You will need to register an account with your forum name and email address to receive your free adverts. Both the username and email address on the classifieds system must match. From what I can see, you have no classifieds account yet.
Thanks. It was probably about 6 years ago, and I think my forum name has changed once since then.Gassing Station | Website Feedback | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
