I am potentially looking at buying either of these cars. How much better is the GP than the R53 Cooper S Works? Evo rates them both as 5 star cars and the Cooper Works is a lot cheaper to buy than the GP. However I am sold on the over the top styling and the stripped ish interior etc of the GP. If its a bit more special to drive etc I would spend the extra Cash to buy one. Any opinions welcome on the above.

Cheers

If you want a collectable car for the future, I'd say go for the GP.

If you want a performance car to drive and to sell on, the MCS Works.

Done a few track days with my MCS works and a buddy and with his GP, found no difference in straighline performance over a 700 metre straight.

The 18 inch wheels on the GP tend to take from it's performance, a bit more understeer etc., so you may need a set of 17's for any track days. Also, the fake rear strut brace and lack of rear seats and wiper, may prove irritating on an everyday basis.

Thanks for the info timmy. How would you say the GP handled is there a big difference between? Was your works an R53 Super or an R56 Turbo one?
