Anyone else take part over the weekend??

Popped my MM cherry with 3 mates and have to say it was a lot tougher than I gave it credit!

I saulte all of those solo-ists who took part, don't know how you did it! bow

Yes I took part with 3 mates - we were all MM virgins too. It was a great event and the atmosphere was really great. It was a pretty tiring course, particularly those gloopy sections - it was like riding through treacle.

Agree about the solo riders. The winner did 21 laps. Our team of four did 16!

Was disappointed not to be there as by the time i'd remembered to book my entry the slots were all gone, i'll definitely be there next year though!

Any of you chaps doing TwentyFour12 or Sleepless In The Saddle this year?

Third MM in a row for me, mixed team of five this year as part of the Retrobike group. "Plasticine Woods" were just as sticky and hard work as last year, but the bumpy downhill near the end was the worst bit for me riding rigid with canti brakes!
Overall I enjoyed the course more this year, but then I like the uphills.

We were opposite you Retrobike lot, for some reason we were called the venga boys by your chief megaphone operator!

Our team of 4 only(!!) managed 16 laps too, agreed with the plasticine woods, horrible stuff!

Defo will be trying to get in again next year. A very well organised event (especially as you can get half you entry fee back in Original Source shower gel!)
