Stuck in the office once again (currently having a ridiculously busy few weeks/months), so wondered how many hours others usually work. Feel free to mention your area of work also smile

What gets to me is the additional travelling time I have to do, adds another 10 hours per week onto office hours which means I'm generally home with enough time to sleep for 6 hours and get up to repeat hehe

My hours are capped at 50 but I usually do around 44/45.

Edit: I'm a self employed draughtsman, they started putting caps in place because people have been known to book 14 hours a day in the past.

I work in heat treatment for a large wire making firm, at current it's 39 hours a week. But I'm also working weekends at a friends sandwhich shop for some extra money... So at the moment it's 48 a week. Used to religiously do 55-60 though. (Hospitality, paaah)

Been doing 20hrs a week for a while (IT contract). Fortunately it nets me enough income to support OH and daughter and gives me 20 extra hours a week with them. Commute time is anywhere from 15 mins (drive/cycle) to 1hr (walk).

I've done the "60hr weeks working away from home all week" thing and putting that time in allowed me to change my life to the one I have now.

Contractually limited to 56hours a week of a 16 week period. I tend to be in the 54.5 plus zone most of the time.

But I really enjoy my job, well 75% of the time.

I get paid for 37.5 hours a week and I make a point of only working that much a week.

We have a flexi system that allows you to take tiem off one week if you worked more the week before.

I work 6am to 6pm, 7 days a week, for five weeks, and I'm on call at nights.

Then I get five weeks off.

My commute is 12,000 miles, but luckily I only do it every five weeks.

60 hours this week, bit of holiday cover so not usually that much.
45-50 usually - not including being on call through the night every 3rd week.
