R53 Mini Cooper S JCW
Discussion
Just got back from the dealers after picking up my 04 MCS JCW.
It is dark silver with full bodykit and JCW seats with full list of options ticked.
It's my 4th mini and is by far the best.
It drives fantastically. Especially seeing as it has new tyres, brakes and bushes, meanings that (touch wood) it should be good to go for a while.
It's not quite as quick as the Z3, but I love being back with the super charger whine, and the growl from the JCW exhaust. And the handling is 2nd to none.
Very excited to be able to make use of my Whalen gear knob too.
I just need to get the Z3 ready for sale, which I will be sad to see go, and find a standard set of front seats as I don't like the JCW sparco's that much.
Does anyone know the best place to sell a pair of leather JCW Sparco seats?
I would preferably want to be able to swap them with someone who has a pair of standard mini cooper s seats.

what Z3 have you got?, as my wifes JCW goes like a rocket, off the mark, it isnt far behind my m3 evoWhere as the JCW is 210bhp and a heavier car and it is noticible.

It is Z3 3.0I Sport. For such a light car, the 231 bhp really has a huge effect.

I thought the Z3 was heavier?Where as the JCW is 210bhp and a heavier car and it is noticeable.
And are there not 2 different power outputs of the JCW? I think some are only 200bhp (not sure?)

You are right! The mini is lighter. That surprised me seeing as it feels so much chunkier and has heavy options on it. And are there not 2 different power outputs of the JCW? I think some are only 200bhp (not sure?)
Some JCW were 200bhp when they first came out. The 210's had a different airbox.
Z3 weighs 1360kg
It has 300nm torque
0-60 = 5.8secs
Mini JCW 210bhp weighs 1215kg
It has 245nm torque
0-60 = 6.4secs
The above is taken from parkers
