Thinking of buying a 328 GTS. Hoping we have some experts on the subject?

Anything to look out for in particular?

Any tips?

try www.ferrarichat.com also, good luck, nice cars. I think the later cars with the abs are the ones to go for.

Read my buyers guide on 308's, a lot of it is relevent. www.fugazi.co.uk/308/buyersguide.htm

Usual things to look for are full service history, low miles (for that kind of money anyway), rust in the usual places (see guide). Pretty bullet proof engines, though they were putting more and more (Italian) electronics on them by then, so silly sensors can fail. One of the "easier" (on the pocket / nerves) F-car to own, and justifyably popular.

BTW for 40k you could also be looking at 348's (not as bad as their reputation by far) and LHD 355's (the latter being MUCH more expensive to run of course)

Any specific questions ?

Great advise.

Thanks very much! Great Site!

Do you know any contacts regarding getting an independant report done?

Should i approach one of the Authorised Dealers, and how much do they normally charge?

Cheers

Only in the Midlands I'm afraid. I wouldn't use the Dealers, nothing wrong with them, just £££ I would imagine. Try and find a local Fcar specialist, one you'd like to use for servicing and repairs anyway. Or ring the FOC (join them anyway, if you're serious about an Fcar, even if not this particular one) and ask them ....

Mine is for sale if you're interested. It should be in the classified section pretty soon.

Great cars, esp with the sports exhaust! I'll miss it very much! :-(

Rosso,

Thanks but i've found one with very very low mileage and it looks too good to be true!

Good luck with selling yours!
