It would appear there's one on the Bay with a bid of £50. No box, but with power functions (don't know if that's standard).

Then there are two others on there with a few days to run that do have the box (all be it in bad nick) which are less than a £5 (£8'ish postage though).

The £50 one must have been the starting bid, which is why it's high, the current winner may now be kicking themselves looking at the prices of the other two.

Where are you (I'm in Hampshire too, near Pompey)? I may be interested in taking it off your hands, depending on what you're after.
Have sent you an email.

I have been a bit lax with the pictures of Project Lego, here are some:

Number 8:

Number 9:

Number 10 - The original mobile crane, nice build

Number 11:

I have also built the Space Shuttle, which is 100% complete, even down to all the stickers, but I fear I made have assembled something to tight as the load bay doors don't work. I haven't got a picture of this one, because I am not selling it!

There is a load more built, but I haven't taken pictures of them for eBay yet.

Now there's a blast from the past, my most favourite Lego kit that I ever had as a kid. I remember it being the dogs danglies as far as I was concerned, it looks so basic compared to the current stuff.

Hurrah, some actual pictures of Lego models that people have built!
I have only recently found this thread upon getting back into Lego building after many years. I was expecting to see a thread full of pictures of models built and discussions about alternative models people have made. Unfortunately, instead what I have found is 148 pages of people discussing how they've bought/hoarded multiple sets of very expensive Lego with an eye to making a profit at some future date.

I love that fork lift & transporter model, I'd love to see a modern take on that.

It surprises me that Technic haven't done another articulated lorry type model any time recently.

Me too! I built it up again recently (for my son you understand) but am missing the pump and never got round to ordering one on ebay.
Might have to get it out again and get one ordered!

Russy, I did e-mail you a couple of weeks back about going on your mailing list, but haven't received anything. Assuming that everyone you added has it by now, could you add me in please?

I'll PM you again now smile

EDIT: Scratch that - Gmail had very unhelpfully parked it in Spam. I reckon my wife put them up to it.....

Sheepo's Defender 110 has been mentioned a couple of times on here, particularly as regards obtaining all the bits to make it. This is what you need:

Untitled by Reg Marjason, on Flickr

It's got seven motors and three remote controls. The 3,500 pieces have come from the UK, the Czech Republic, Holland, Germany, Italy, France and Slovenia and it took me over a day to figure out where to get them all from at a sensible price (if you call £550 for Lego 'sensible' biggrin ). Bricklink was essential - it looks a bit old and clunky at first but it turns out that it's brilliant. You can download an XML parts list from Sheepo's site and upload it to Bricklink as your wanted list. Then it's just a question of figuring out which stores have the parts at the most reasonable prices and there are a staggering number of unofficial Lego shops on there.

Sheepo's instructions look epic - there's 448 pages of them so 20 euros seems like a bargain considering how much work he must have put into this thing.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a little building to do....

I don't recall seeing any photo's of the B model for 42009 Mobile Crane MkII. Its not a bad build, but not as good as the crane. It seemed to take a long time though, but then it did get abandoned half way through for a while. The whole crane/grabbing mechanism is motorised, and its pretty clever how it all works.

Also, yesterday, I built up a small set I bought on eBay a few weeks ago. Its 8068 Rescue Helicopter. This wasn't the most challenging set, and only took a couple of hours, but its quite a nice set.

Asdadirect and possibly Amazon have the motor set for £22 at the moment if anyone is after one.

Good timing with goforbroke posting the alternative build for the big crane as I've spent the rainy Easter Sunday completing the crane itself. My first Technics build since I was a child and I've thoroughly enjoyed putting it together.

Emmett's mate had to get in on the action as well!
