So when is the next group buy of some thing big and shiny. Now divorced(ish), soon have my own place and I feel it will need a masculine touch of Lego and model cars.

Jan launch I expect, although I dont think its very exciting stuff tbh, so not sure how many will be up for it...

I should update this - I got a "Stock Alert" email from Tesco saying they had stock of the AROCS, and managed to grab one for £9.95 (plus six month's worth of Clubcard vouchers). I haven't been this excited about Christmas since the last time I had Technics on my list, which was about twenty years ago!

So, after a long night the site was up and working at midnight. My guys were scratching their heads and couldnt really find an issue - so I advertised on PH to get some other bods investigating.... Anyway in the end everything was reset and backups loaded and it slowly come back to life.

Nothing much in the way of LEGO Super offers as there just isnt the margin and I really dont need to give it away. But there are some good offers for Scalextric Sets, Tamiya RC Cars, Model kits etc - feel free to put some stuff up on Hot Deals for me if you want wink

Thanks Russ - as you say, slim pickings on Lego as I know your squeezed on margin. To be honest, even with the discount there are large retailers supplying for less frown

However, I did take advantage on the Tamiya front and should have a Monster Beetle on its way top me. No doubt it will end up sitting in the loft with my yet-to-be-built Sand Scorchers and Buggy Champ, but there you go wink

Yea, LEGO is hardwork and most of the big boys sell it at cost or at a loss to get people in the door, such is the draw. But unfortunately we're not in the position to do that...

Plus being LEGO they dont need to discount, I only had 1 product (out of a range of 400) offered to me at special price to offer a deal. Even then when I did offer it, Amazon immediately undercut our deal price by 20% - resulting in customers returning and cancelling my orders. So now I have lots of battered stock which needs to be cleared! So any extra margin I made has gone straight down the pan!

I seem to have gone a bit OTT this year, 4 x radio control cars, several Tamiya models and a load of paint oh and an airbrush and compressor, so very grateful for the BF code.

The Fiancee came out with the classic line last night! "Do you want lego for christmas!"

Winner. I told her that as the sets i am eyeing are expensive if she just wants to put cash towards it, that would be great.

So its either Red 5 X-wing Master set OR a few sets to similar value, like the star wars 7 big shuttle, Rebels Ghost and little add on flyer, and maybe a T-16 skyhopper.

Keep eyeing up the Le mnas car, but star wars lego usually tins out.

I love the big Tie fighter but i dont think its worth the £170 that Slave 1 was, seems a lot less for your money when its built.

If that's what he wants get him that. Even if there is something g else that's slightly better technically he might still be disappointed as that's the kit he wants.
