August Monthly Photography Challenge - Bokeh - Entries

The challenge this month is Bokeh
And a reminder of the rules,
- The shot MUST be taken this month, with the closing date being midnight on the 31st of August
- The exif must be posted with your shot.
- Keep the images posted to a decent size please, 1024px wide max.
- I will choose the winner this month (with the winner choosing the theme for next month, then deciding who should win that months)
- The Challenge for next month should be generic, as not everyone has access to zoom, macro, specialist lenses. It should be shots that everyone is capable of achieving with the bare essentials.

. Practically straight out of the camera, just tweaked the saturation a tad.

I'm sure it's not an original idea, but anyway it's a physical mask made from card which I stuck to a steel straight edge to make it easy to hold out in front of the camera to shoot through with the focus on the card. I tried a few different shots of things and this was the most pleasing (sadly the sun wasn't out enough for me to try all the shots I wanted).

Some fantastic entries into the challenge this month. It has been really difficult to choose a winner, Robbie's leaf picture is excellent, a great idea and good execution with some nice bokeh, and I like the fun element to Alan's picture too.
As always there can only be one winner, however honourable mentions should go to Dogsey and Tilley441 for their pictures they were both in my final three.
So this month's challenge winner is Paul with his picture of the Jag. The bokeh effect of the rain on the car is superb and makes the picture stand out.
