I really cannot express fully my admiration for the 2 guys from Rough Riderz who I met up at Fort Bill on Tuesday. To do this track in a wheelchair when most of us struggle to get down it on 2 wheels is almost beyond belief.

Bigger balls than I'll ever have, guys I salute you particularly the rider who did the final rock step down into the arena smile

inspirational.

Total respect! And what a brilliant idea.

I did see an artcile about an Amercian mtber who;d been injured and used one of these things, but didn't realise it was becoming a wider interest.

There's a guy called Trev Air (IIRC) who appears on a couple of the extreme sports films downhilling at Whistler in a similar (full suspension, disc brake equipped) wheelchair. Very impressive stuff.

It's a cruel piece of logic that dictates the people who push boundaries are more likely to end up disabled than those who sit at home all day in front of the telly. I've got nothing but respect for the people who face that and overcome it.

Incredible stuff. I remember an article in Dirt (I think) about them a year or so ago, but didn't realise they rode on tracks like Fort William!

I'm up there both days this weekend, would be great to see them on track if they're there.

Ive seen some footage of these guys and the interviewer asked " what happens of you crash?" the guy in the wheelchair said "whats the worst that can happen, break my back again" giggled and headed off.
