Good result against a very well stacked everton side. Amazing reading some of the football forums seeing how angry the toffee fans are because they didn't win against 'lowly' Leicesterlaugh happy for wood to bag a goal. Turned down the offer from wolves to fight for his spot and rightly so.

Happy to be off the mark. Made even better by Cheque book 'Arry's boys losing to Dull. hoping for a steamroller by chavski tomorrow night against gravel throat dykes Burnley.

yup very happy here! I thought we deserved a point, worked very hard for it, yes Everton looked more threatening going forward and clearly had abit more 'class' but it seemed that 'class' got abit fed up of being chased down in the 2nd half and our boys just dug in!

3 points out of the 1st 5 games would be good, 5 would be great! and this is a good start! will certainly boosttheir confidence!

Great result for the first game back in the promised land. It just goes to show that the lads can hold their own, come back from being down twice and score goals. They had more going forward from mid field though which was clear to see. However I couldn't stop laughing every time Lukaku got the ball and was beasted out by either Wes or Moore!

Looking at the pace Schluppy had when he came on and the damage he was causing on their back four imagine if Vards would have been on the pitch.

One of the best atmospheres in the ground for a long time I thought.

Some tough games coming though.

1 point on your quest to beat Derbys record of 11 points!

Long may they keep that record - worst team in history.

Congrats guys, was good to see you on MOTD.

Schlupp will gain experience from that shot he had, all the team will and it will boost confidence, clearly first half nerves were there.

Every player gave 100% and more, Riyad turning Barry inside out for the build up to Wood's goal was superb.

Atmosphere was like years gone by I thought when the songs got going before they walked out. Fans seem up for it and should be, I just hope when we are being beaten and it will come they don't start booing or leaving.

We are the 12th man and Saturday showed that with Leo and Chris' goals.

They were 5th last season we were Championship, the gulf in class was massive but we still got something out of it.

It will be a bumpy ride but I'm looking forward to every twist and turn.

I'm not a City fan but I do live in the county. Here's tonight's Mercury, nice to see the result has been received in a low key fashion. Lol

Was such a good game of football! had everything! as a foxes fan obviously I loved it. I bet though Top will be loving the fact that Man U, who are very big in Asia will have been beaten by 'King Power's Leicester City'. Cant wait to be back in Thailand again, will always wear my City Shirt as I always do andI suspect there will be a lot more people recognising it this year than last!

Well! aren't we suffering from a major blip at the moment!

Apart from the owners who left in a swanky helicopter saturday...

Leave you to decide on that one.

cant blame them! if you had that kinda cash and your own copter youd make use of it too wink

was wondering if I was watching a different match o saturday after listening to pearson post match saying that we were unlucky and that the standard of performance was ok!?!? half the players showed very little effort.

for me:
Morgan, weslowski (or however you spell it), cambiasso and Vardy showed a good standard of performance. The midfield had absoloutely no clue what to do, everytime someone got the ball, they just looked at each outer, static thinking what do I do now?!?!

De Laet, the defender who loves to blast forward down the wing, 1st half I saw a few chances for him to do that and in the end chose the harder option and lost the ball, I think I only remember one run forward by him. He loked lifeless/bored/couldnt be arsed.

Nugent - always too slow. would get the ball, take a few seconds to think what to do next then was caught in possession. Never looked at the races, why he was picked ahead of Leo I dont know.

Pearson - wasnt on the money for me on that day. Really not sure what the subs were all about. King was fked! at 70mins I thought he was going to keel over. to then see vardy brought off ahead of him shocked me. I would have thought someone like Mahrez would have been good to run at the tired defence.

The worst part of the result for me? WBA were even worse than us and they won! but then saying we were better is like saying having a daewoo is better than having a ssangyong!

Yeah agree'd don't really blame the owners... just slightly jealous how quickly they can get out of the city traffic after a match day... haha wink

We seem to have lost all that urgency we had on the ball in the very first few games and all of last season.... Makes you wonder whats changed? the players are 90% the same.

Mid field has been no where since united. Inviting pressure by passing sideways or backwards and most of the time not even passing to are own players. King improved things at the weekend but one man does not a mid field make.

Nugent... well... useless! how he manages to stay on the field, let alone in the team is beyond me, total lack of anything from him recently. People harp on about work rate but I didn't see it. Drop him and give Woody/Powell a chance!

Leo had a groin strain so I believe...

As you say, we had no width or anyone on the pitch that was willing to run at their back four.

We are much better than our now current relegation position.

They really need to step up from this current blip or will be in trouble come January.

We need to start playing to our own strengths like we did last season, rather than setting up to counter other teams.

I could really do with Liam Moore getting his first team place back. It's causing me some fantasy fpl pains.

Good to see we have bagged a very decent forward, Kramric from Rijeka on a 3 and a half year deal. Hopefully once the Work permit issue is sorted out he should be raring to go against Stoke.

Good piece on him here:

With our recent performances and this signing, i think we are in with one hell of a chance of keeping our heads above water this season. Very unlucky against Liverpool and their 12th manlaugh

The FA have endorsed his Work permit application today, does look like an exciting prospect.

going to be a hard 1st match for him I reckon, Stoke are a very aggressive side, not what he will be use to i think! just be nice to have someone with some confidence in front of goal, but we need to make sure we are getting delivery to him also, Leo has been fantastic still I think, especially when you look at his shots to goal ratio. This seems to have also given Nugent a kick up the backside aswell the last few games and you see glimpses of greatness from him but it just doesnt seem to be falling for him atm and the amount of chances we missed on Saturday was shocking!

Off to Thailand tomorrow, had my city shirt packed once again weeks ago, wonder if I will bump into Nigel Pearson again at the airport on the way back!
