Can anyone recommend a good compromise for 'fast road' & trackday suspension geometry. I don't want the car too twitchy, and it's not going to run on slicks.

Lots of people can set up a car accurately (i.e. using laser based equipment, but how many can actually set it up well?!)

Am I best off with the standard factory geo?

Feel free to drop me a PM.

PS my diff is being setup with 85/40 ramp angles so I may want to consider a few more minutes neg front camber to reduce entry understeer...

Many thanks.

And you're asking us?

Melv may have half an answer but why not just have a nice chat with ninemeister or Mr Fearns?

I've always been told that factory settings are best as many have handled like a pig when the settings have been deviated from (according to techs I have chatted to).

I also know of a Porsche 968CS that crashed within 100 miles of having its camber angle seriously altered, so can't see the harm in going standard unless it spends ALL the time on the track, in the dry etc.

Already spoken with Andy, just looking for any alternative opinions! He mentioned that your car is being set up for the ring as if it hasn't got any suspension - i.e. rock hard. Be careful of ze german badgers, they're bigger than the british ones and drink more beer - they can do real damage to a car I've heard.

Sounds too stiff for the ring - so I'll be on full badger alert. The ring is unlike other tracks; you need more of a fast road set up.

That said, the baron does sound blinging, aiiii.

It even drove down the road the other day (minus front bumper - must have been removed for badger hair removal or sommat).

Suggest you go with recommended 964RS settings (incl ride height) and start from there.
