Is the latest edition of this 10?
Hi OsKool.... the current edition is the 9th, but this has just sold out ( bar the odd copy for urgents). The 10th edition is with the printers and should be back into stock within 2-ish weeks. I'll post update details shortly. smile

Hi Grant, Fabulous Guide (but I guess you know that already), and used Fourth Edition to spec my Vantage V8 - Thank You.

Looking to trade up now so keen to buy the latest edition when the ink is dry. Any update on the release date?

Hi Stuart, thanks for your kind words, appreciated smile and apologies as I forgot to update this thread, not enough hours in the day recently!

The new 10th edition was published last month and is fully up to date (as of mid-April)...........
including the very latest models (like the GT12, an intro to Vulcan & DBX concept, extra 2 pages on Rapide, etc, etc). Plus updates to all sections including new additions to the inspection section and all model and option sections updated with the latest 15MY data.

The guide has expanded to 292 pages and the book is now stitch-bound for improved readability.

Edited to add the book's own website link for direct orders / faster delivery/ best price ... www.astonmartinreview.co.uk

First of all I like to thank you again Grant for a really great book! Well written with so many facts and excellent advices. :-)

Aston Martin DB9 - 2009- Meteorite Silver. Photo taken last week not far from home.

This will be my first post here at PistonHeads and I like to thank you all. Without this forum I'm not sure I ever would be able to call me an Aston Martin owner. On this forum I have since December found advices, inspiration, lots of Aston Martin pictures and THE BOOK!

My wife gave me the book earlier this year when I was "only" a Aston Martin enthusiast. Been dreaming (and saving money not smoking) for over 25 years and have many time said "maybe one day...". Thought the day maybe would be in ten years or so, or maybe never. But I read the book twice (some chapters some more) and can since April call me an Aston Martin DB9 owner. Have, after 25 years of dreaming, bought this Meteorite Silver Aston Martin DB9 MY09.

Do not know how I can make you all understand how much the book meant to me then trying to buy the right car, but let me put it this way: The DB9 I bought is the first DB9 I ever have seen what I know, and the second Aston Martin ever I been tried out. Aston Martins are not so common here...

Thank you so much Grant writing this book!

Mioh, congratulations on your fabulous new beast, she looks stunning and a very rare sight in Sweden.

Thanks for the feedback, I love it when the guide helps find the right Aston smile With such a beatiful example and your passion for A.M. I'd recommend joining AMOC or a local club like http://www.astonmartinclub.se so you can share your interest with other owners.

I would also post your photo and introduction in the main thread below as many people simply miss the stickies at the top of the forum and others will want to see your lovely DB9.... enjoy that silky V12 smile

Thanks both of you for the kind words. :-)

superlightr - Permanent grin since I got it. Still hard to believe I got an Aston.

Grant3 - Joined AMC.se same week I bought it. Got some help and advices form them before buying, so joining them felt like the right thing to do. Posting in main thread is OK. I will try to contribute with some pictures in the Aston photo thread later.

This is my first post as well, being a brand new Vantage owner. I don't have my car yet, it is being transported as I write. I bought the guide, and while I would have bought a car without it, I may have had post purchase regrets. I pretty much know the Vantage and Options sections by heart now, and what I learned in the process really helped me narrow down what I wanted during the search. I can't tell you how many times I went back to read something for clarification. The previous owner commented on how much I knew about this model! I ended up buying the right car for me. Thank you!

Hi All, I'm pleased to let you know that the guide has just been updated to the 11th edition.

Now fully up to date including the latest (as of November 15) 2016 model year information, covering the new AMi II infotainment system and fascia (which has been introduced across the range), the DB9 GT and Bond Edition and much more with tweaks and additions to all sections. The book is currently being printed and should be in stock shortly.

It's amazing that book has grown from the original 246 pages to 296 with this latest update, due to all the new models, information and updates that have occurred since 2011!

Hi Grant, I'm potentially in the market for an early V8V and want to start looking at them next week. I've just ordered your book. Do you think it would be delivered before Christmas so I have something to read at the in-laws?

Hi Lewis, that will be a very nice present to yourself in the New Year. We are in the hands of postie I'm afraid - I have checked and all books posted this week have been upgraded to 1st class FOC, but I do believe yesteday was the official "last day" for UK Xmas shipment. Fingers crossed and have a great Christmas smile.
