New TV recommendations - what's good at the moment..?
Discussion
Hello all
Looking for a new TV, and could use some advice...
For the last 3 years we've been running and ageing Panny Viera (32") which has been brilliant - aside from a persistent startup problem which my 5 year Richer Sounds Panel Warranty should cover. (anyone fancy a new 32" telly on the cheap?)
Anyway, now that we've moved house, and our living room is a big bigger, we now sit further from the telly. Couple this with me getting a bit older and my eyes getting a bit worse, we'd like/need a bigger TV.
So, what's good - are Viera's still fairly good? I notice that most TV's in the larger sizes are 3D (on the Richer Sounds website) given that we're just not that fussed (should we be?) are the non 3D tellies any good?
Are the LED TV's any good these days, or is that technology that has still to mature? I like the thought of these as it will be wall-mounted and presumably they are thinner?
Sorry for all of the questions, last TV bought some time ago
Oh, budget wise - what's reasonable? The 32" Viera was £500, what would a £1000 get me?
Probably should mention that in terms of usage, it will be standard stuff - Sky HD, Apple TV, BRDVD etc - nothing less than 37" seems a good place to start!
