TV Signal Options
Discussion
I plan to put a TV in a room that doesn't have a satelite or traditional arial socket. It does have my router in it though.
My satelite dish looks like one of the olderst models and only has on cable out put on it, I have bought a new attachment (i forget what they're called) with four outputs but it doesnt seem to be compatable.
My options are as i see them:
1. Buy a new dish with more outputs on and run a cable to the room
2. Take a branch off the rooftop arial and run a cable to the room
3. Investigate using interent tv?
4. Send the signal from my freesat box using wireless (I currently do this to another room and the picture quality is poor)
5. Send the signal some other way?? Can tv signal be sent using powerline adapters??
Any help on points 3 and 5 appreciated.

You can get a new dish for a reasonable price, with a quad LNB which will do the job.
Internet TV is ok, but limited choice compared with sat and your broadband bills go up.
You can transmit SD and HD signals over internet cables, but for HD you'll need a pair of cables, and the transmitters and receivers aren't cheap.
I'd get a new dish and pop a cable in through a convenient wall.

I agree...and buy another Freesat box...Humax HD boxes seem to be well thought of?Internet TV is ok, but limited choice compared with sat and your broadband bills go up.
