hello

I am due to undertake one of these next week as part of a job interview. However I also undertook the same/similar one a few months ago with another company, and would dearly like to know either my score or indeed a copy of the whole test, (as this would help with my preparation) as the only feedback I got from them ( not getting the job ) was that they chose someone else!

I am fully aware that I can practice these on line, and I am doing so, I would just like to know my score, and ideally get a whole copy of my test.

So my question is, can I obtain this information from the other company (that I did not get the job for) or will they try to fudge the issue/ not return my calls as they think I might be about to undertake some sort of unfair recruitment campaign?. The company I have already completed the assessment with is a large multinational plc so has the full complement of HR bods.

Basically are the obliged to let me have this info, or should I not bother trying to get it?

tia.

You can ask, but they are not obliged to tell you.

EDIT: rather than asking for your score, what you might try is asking them if there was any specific aspect of the test where you scored poorly (perhaps in comparison to others). Again they're not obliged to tell you, but if they have the results easily to hand they might tell you on the basis of personal development.

In most cases the only 'result' will be a percentile score comparing your result to a norm group - in which case getting a copy off them wouldn't really help anyway in terms of helping you prepare. If you are doing sample tests online I would have expected them to give you your score?

Happy to send you a copy of a 'sample' report from one of the tests I use so you can see how it is presented to the employer if that would help?

If I had administered the test, I would be prepared to share the raw score with you, however unless you know what cut off point they used this will be of little use, unfortunately you are not entitled to see the actual paper, there are plenty of sample papers online that you can practice with, is there any chance of finding out which test provider that use as you could try their samples
